Past Fundraisers

The club's first in-person fundraiser since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic was held on April 1, 2023. It was a BINGO event with a Mad Hatter Tea Party theme. It was heartening to see so many from our community participate and support our mission, which helps improve the lives of women and girls. The event proved to be a roaring success, with the club netting approximately $2,600, which will be allocated towards educational grants for local women.

Our sincere gratitude goes to the generous sponsors of the event, including Avenue Grill, Michael David Winery, Starbucks on Ham Lane, Smack Pie, and Matsuyama in Lodi. We would also like to extend our thanks to David "Big Dog" Rios, who served as an excellent BINGO caller, and to St. Paul Lutheran Church for providing their hall for the event. Lastly, we are indebted to our Fundraiser Chair Judy, who organized the event and provided awesome tea party decorations. We are also grateful to the committee members, Germaine, Linda, Liz, Mina, Sandra and Terri, whose time, talent, and treasure played a significant role in making BINGO a success!

Toward the end of 2022, the club held a non-event fundraiser. (See the flyer below.) Thanks to the contributions of many generous donors, we made nearly $5,000!  Because of this fundraiser, we were able to provide three Live Your Dream Awards instead of the one for which we had budgeted.

Here's the artistic flyer prepared by Rosemary for our Paint and Sip for a Cause fundraiser, which was held on leap day, 2020. Information about the event and photos can be found below the flyer.

The 2020 Paint and Sip event was chaired by Laura and once again allowed participants to express their inner artist! We were led by VanGo Girl artist Deidre Trudeau. She is a fine artist and art instructor in mixed media, acrylic, watercolor, and drawing. Deidre is also an Air Force veteran. Everyone made a painting called "Autumn Twilight", each of which was beautiful in its own way. We are grateful to Village Coffee Shop, 700 Victor Rd., Lodi  for allowing us to hold the event at their restaurant, especially on short notice.

Here's the festive flyer prepared by Rosemary for our fall, 2019 Bingo fundraiser;  information about the event and photos can be found below the flyer:

Thanks largely to advance ticket sales by club members including Bev, Barbara, Germaine and Liz, there were approximately 80 participants at our Fall Bingo event. Susan and Judy D welcomed guests at the door and also sold some walk in tickets. Using items contributed by Laura, the event was decorated in a red, white and blue motif in celebration of Veterans Day. We started with a scrumptious pasta dinner prepared by Terri, Susan, Laura and Rosemary; it was delivered to the tables by fantastic servers that Sandra had recruited. As the event progressed, there were many happy winners of some wonderful raffle, silent auction and Bingo prizes, which were all organized by Barbara and supported by LaVerne, Lynn, Mina and the rest of the club. An especially sought after raffle prize was the wreath donated by Terri from her business, The Decorated Door, https://www.mydecorateddoorandmore.com/. We very much appreciate all of the sponsors that helped to make this fundraiser a success. Special thanks to David Rios, our great Bingo caller, who was ably assisted by Germaine.

Here's the flyer and some information concerning a really enjoyable fundraiser held in early 2019:

The Paint and Sip event allowed participants to express their inner artist!  Everyone made a painting of the Golden Gate Bridge and a great time was had by all.  Close to $700 was raised to benefit Soroptimist programs.  In grateful recognition of Grace & Mercy Foundation's providing refreshments and the facilities for the event, a donation was given to the foundation.
